Naturalization papers

Post by cannoli »

I am gathering documents to bring to my consulate appointment.

I just received a packet from the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service which includes the Naturalization Certificate for my great grandfather.

Is this the only document that is needed for the appointment?

Other documents in the packet (Petition for Naturalization and Declaration of Intention) add more discrepancies for his date of birth.

Thank you!

Hi,

What are you trying to do at the appointment? is it a citizenship appointment?
If so, I'd review the document "Application for Italian Citizenship" found here:
http://www.conssanfrancisco.esteri.it/C ... dulistica/

There's quite a bit more that you need if that's what your trying to do. For examle, you want to have it translated, apostille'd, you need birth certs etc.

I hope that helps, but maybe I wasn't sure what you're asking.

Ciao

I realized this is not the best section for this question. I am going to move it to the Citizenship, Immigration discussions.

Thanks.
