Hi this is my first post - and I am not sure what I am doing!
How do I find posts that are relevant to me?
Is there a way of searching for posts by the surname being researched or the area of italy for example?
What should I do next??

Above where it says your heading 'Help - new user is a bit lost!' it has in small writing 'FORUM faq' , 'search' etc.
Click search and type any one word which has links to your surname or place?
What is your surname and i will help you get started?

Re: Help - new user is a bit lost!
Thanks jamiecapaldi - for some reason I kept looking down the sides and not at the top of the page!
The names I am researching are Della Ragione and Roberti. I have done all the english/welsh research so it is the italian bit that I am now stuck on.
My great grandfather Antonio Della Ragione was born in Caseli di San Ciro, Vico Equense, Naples in 1862 I am lucky to have had his birth extract passed down through the family but I am not sure how to get his parents marriage info or if he had any brothers or sisters.
I have exactly the same problem with my 2x great grandfather Samueli Roberti who was born in 1835 in San Lorenzo a Vaccoli, near Lucca.
Both immigrated to Swansea - but later generations moved to bristol so I will check with my mum if she knows of any Bristolian italians

Normally you would try to order the Microfilms from the LDS site, but unfortunately it only goes back to 1901 in Vico Equense. Instead you could write to the Parish. This link should guide you better:

San Lorenzo a Vaccoli only goes back to 1866 (lucca), so i would also write to them.

Hello,
I know you are searching Italian records, but just in case anything new could be a link or something unknown, i have found a couple of records which might be of use?
In 1909, Swansea, a Alfred Della Ragione died age 1.
In 1914, Swansea, a Victor Della Ragione died age not even 1.
In 1882, Yarmouth, Norfolk, a Rosina Della Ragione married.
In 1875, Holborn, London, a Francesco Della Ragione married a Rosa Fulgone.

Re: Help - new user is a bit lost!
Wow thanks for all the info.
The Swansea deaths are for siblings of my grandfather. I will see if I can find a link for the other two - Della Ragione is an unusual name even in italy.
Time to get writing - the link will get me started - Ta.
