Not much info to go on

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Not much info to go on

Post by bella4 »

I'm new to this so please bear with me:
My great -grandparents (Antonio Amici and Frances Bosoni Amici)came to America from Sezze, Italy sometime between 1905-1920. The story was told that he came first and then she came later. I found a passenger list from Ellis Island and I'm 99% sure it's him. However, I can't find a record of my great-grandmother (even using her maiden name). We don't know if they were married in Italy or here in NY. I have just ordered 2 books to help with requesting info. from Italy. Does anyone know of anything else I can try? I will be going to the Family History Library in my town tommorroow to oder microfilm of records from Sezze.
Thank you for your Help,
Ciao!

There are a few census records that can be found for Tony or Antonio... but if you can provide birthdates, it would really help narrow the search. If you know of siblings for either please let us know...

mfjp,
thank you. I have already search the census records and have found Anthony on the 1920's and 1930's census. Antonio Amici was born Sept.15,1875. He died Oct.1966. I do not know when Frances was born but her death estimate is 1955 of 1956. My Grandmother ( their daughter) has passed away and we do not know of any siblings for Antonio or Frances.
