I recently sent a letter to the town of roccadaspide where my greatgreat grandfather is from. I sent the letter to the 7 acito's still living there.And I am pleased to say I recieved an e-mail response from one Acito who's grandson wrote to tell me we might be related and we are now in correspondence with info to find out even more. I just wanted to share this info because I am so excited about this!!!! So for anyone out ther trying to research just keep trying as I did as it may pay off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Acito Response from italy

Congratulations Chaos.....I am still working on my potential relative letters, my list is like 90+ persons long.... 8O
I look at it this way.....you have nothing to lose and everything to gain....not to mention, you might learn something new along the way.....

Actually I forgot to add the postage but so far I have only received an email response. But from the email it seems they are definite relatives for the gentlemans grandmother said at the time of my relative living in italy all the acito's lived in the same set of homes and were all family. From what the woman says her grandfather was my great great grandfathers cousin. What is nice is her grandson said he will do the research next week in the town hall so it doesnt cost me anything, and he says his grandmother (who is 83 LOL) would really like to know if we are related also. So far it seems I have been lucky but we shall see!!!
