Dear 1st Generation,
Judging by your questions and responses it seems to me you need to go back to what you have and review everything again.
The town doesn't have the records you want, so it is the wrong town. Going to the church will probably not help.
Go back to what you have and start over. The answer is most likely in the USA .

There are form letters for this purpose on line. I hope you have dates, most priests are too busy to do searches. DO enclose an addressed envelope. Postage to the USA has doubled this month. It now costs 1.60 euro to mail a letter to the USA and the people here rarely use IRC.
I suggest you get a euro bill at your bank and enclose it with the letter.

I have the correct towns. They are Tresilico and Oppido Mammertina. I know where some of my relatives were born because i have some records to show that. I have written to the Uficio there and they don't have any records on my mothers side of the family. I was told to write to the churches to get any of the records they may have.
Thanks
