Need help translating a PHRASE...THANKS!

"L'ultime parole della vostra mamma erano verrate verso i loro figli".

What does this mean? I hope I got that right, it's hand-written in an old letter.

The last words of your mother were "verrate" towards their children.

Verrate has no meaning... maybe, if you post the letter we can better help.

Unfortunately, the letter is torn It talks about this woman dying and her funeral. What happened was...she originally came to the US with her kids, to join her husband....about 11 years later, she left her husband and went back to Italy.
Could it be that her last words were to BE with her children or to GO to her children or SEE them? Something like that?

I would say that her last words were about (their) her children.

Verrate could be versate, from the verb versare = to pour

I see...maybe whoever wrote the letter just meant that she was thinking about her children as she was dying..THANKS!
