Getting a marriage transcript from Santo Anotonio de Padova

Post by Jaydee »

Hi, I found some pages from my grandfather's notebook. One page stated that he and my grandmother were married February 22, 1934 at Santo Antonio di Padova. I cannot find any information. My grandfather's name is Giuseppe Bottino and my grandmother's name is Giustina Asciutto. Any information would be helpful. Thank you!

Sant'Antonio da Padova sounds like the name of a Church. Any other clue to identify the town where they married?

I am assuming it is Padua Italy near Venice. There is a Basilica by that name there.

Padua = Padova

There are churches named St Antonio da Padova all over Italy... and also all over the US!

I know that is what is so frustrating to me. Also, I think my grandfather was married prior to my grandmother. I think they may have been married in Belmonte Mazzagno Sicily which is where they were all born. Her name was Giovannina and here's where it gets crazy, My grandmother and Giovannina were sisters!
