Looking for info on Antonio Bonagurio and ancestors

I'm looking for information on one of my ancestors. Antonio Bonagurio is the father of Alice Bonagurio born in 1897. I believe they are from northern Italy around Brogliano, Italy. Any information on Antonio (birthdate, spouse, wedding) or ancestors would be appreciated.

Bonagurio must be one of those names which loves to be mis-spelled/mis-transcribed. On Ancestry . com, I found only two records related to immigration: a naturalization index for Salvatore and a passenger manifest for Pasqualena. Do either of these names fit into your research?

Once again , as with your other research project, additional information on recent family members can make it easier to locate records pertaining to earlier members. What can you tell us about Alice? Did she emigrate to the US? Her husband's name? Children's names & ages? Where did she reside in the US?

Did Antonio come to the US? If so, where did he settle?

The correct italian spell of the last name may have been Buonaugurio/Buonagurio

Bonaguro Antonio, age 34, last residence in Italy Villanova del Ghebbo (Rovigo Province - Veneto Region) travelling with his wife Giuseppa Avezzu' age 32 and their child Alice age 11, Ferruccio age 9, Angelo age 3, and Luigi age 1. Antonio stated that he was leaving in Italy his mother Trevisan Caterina in Lusia (Rovigo Province - Veneto Region)
Them both were going to S. Helena - North Carolina to join their friend Trevisan Gervasio. Place of birth of Giuseppa and all the child was Lusia - Rovigo province, while place of birth of Antonio was probably Lendinara - Rovigo province

you can use this site to see the actual spreading of the Bonaguro and Avezzu' lastnames in the Veneto region:

but basing on the arrival manifest you can be pretty sure that Antonio Bonaguro was born in Lendinara while his wife Giuseppa Avezzu' and his child were born in Lusia....
