Not sure if this helps you but my paternal grandmother was Carolina Paganuzzi - dont have her birthdate but she died in the late 1960s and was possibly in her 80s? I'm just starting to investigate my family roots (better late than never) My family name is Zanelli. Good luck.

*Domenico Paganuzzi was born in Tosca on 3 Oct 1835 to Giovanni Paganuzzi (30yo), peasant/farmer and Domenica Zanelli (27yo).*

I recently read the above in Laura's thread and wondered at the seeming coincidence. My father's family name is Zanelli and his mother's family name was Paganuzzi, and they came from Tosca and Varsi regions of Northern Italy. Might we be connected ?

we might be. They did come from the Tosca and Varsi regions as well. I can't find much more information on Domenico Paganuzzi. Not many records online from that region as well.
