Hi I am searching for more information on relatives from Paolisi, Benevento, Italy. This is to go further back in my family tree I am searching for the following:
Antonio Perrotta (not sure of his birthdate)
his daughter
Mariantonia Perrotta born about 1871 in Paolisi and immigrated to the USA on the Manuel Calvo April 14, 1909 from Naples, Italy to be with her husband Pasquale Falco born about 1868 in Italy (I believe Paolisi). She traveled with her 3 children.
Antonio Falco born December 17, 1896 in Paolisi.
Domenico Falco born abt 1900 in Paolisi.
Maria Falco born abt 1906 in Paolisi.
If you know how I might obtain more information on these family members I would greatly appreciate it. I am just starting to look overseas for relatives. Thanks You.

Re: Perrotta/Falco in Paolisi
Karyn,
According to the Italian telephone directory, there are Falco's and Perrotta's in Paolisi today. Some people have great luck contacting persons in their ancestral comune, other's not so much. Paolisi is a very small comune of under 2,000 population; with so many Falco's/Perrotta's, there is a good chance that they are all inter-related and, ultimately, related to your ancestors. http://www.paginebianche.it/execute.cgi ... olisi&l=en
You might also consider writing to Paolisi and requesting copies of birth or marriage acts. If I were you, I would start small, requesting just a few documents and see what happens.

Hello Karyn –
I saw your post about Mariantonia Perrotta when I was researching my great grandfather Giuseppe Landolfi, who was also born in Paolisi. I found an Italian death certificate (he died in 1935) and he mentions that he was married to Mariantonia Perrotta. I don’t read or speak Italian, but I have a family member that does. I was wondering if you have ever known of a Landolfi connection? Giuseppe traveled to the US on a few occasions to visit, but he died in Italy. He son, Domenico, ended up settling down in Fort Wayne, IN. Let me know if there are any connections!!
Best wishes,

Hi Karyn Falco, not sure if you'll get this message, but I saw this post and had to try. My name is Wendy Perrotta, and I'm working on my husband Phil's Ancestry family tree. His great grandfather Virginio was from Paolisi, Italy. He came to the US a few times, from what I can see on the shipping documents. Once with a Luigi Perrotta in 1907. His great grandfather was born in or around 1855. I don't have a death date on him, but last I saw he was residing in Bennington, VT when he was 85, which was in 1940. I see the village of Paolisi is a small village, and I saw that there are some Perrotta's that live in the area. I was wondering if you had any luck reaching out to get any information from the information you were given. Also, my husband said he knows the Falco name, but he can't place how he knows the name. My husband is Philip, his father was Neil, and his grandfather was Philip Sr. Virginio was his dad.
Thanks for any information that you may be able to share. I see it's been a while since you're post, but I thought I would take a chance.

Re: Perrotta/Falco in Paolisi
Hello. My grandfather "Antonio Falco" came from Paolisi and arrived in America in March 1910. His fathers name was "Picho"
From what I know his 1st wife was a Perrotta - they had 5 children (3 boys 2 girls) After her death,
He then married my grandmother "Domenica DiNicolais" also from Paolisi. They had 2 girls.
All the children were born in America/NJ
My name is Michele DeSomma (Sileno/Falco)
Do you know anyone who is still living in Paolisi that could be related to me
Thank you for any info you can share.
