Michael Charles Cardio, Cardis or Carrione of perhaps Napoli

Post by trevisan2 »

Greetings
I am working with a friend that is trying to find where in Italy, their ancestors come from.

Here is what I know.
1910 Federal Census Michael Charles Cardio. Other spellings are Cardis and Carrione.
I have not seen a source on the Carrione.
Born in Italy 1864
Immigraged in 1867
Both parents are Italians.
Most of his children were born in Alantic, Cass, Iowa.

He married a Christina Sophia Fullendorf
2 April 1885 in Alantic, Cass, Iowa.

Other family sources state that Michele was born in Clvelle Provience, Potinzo, Italy, but I have not been able to verify it.

His father is listed as a Giuseppe
His mother is listed as Jellestine. Probably not spelled correctly.

Any Information would be appreciated.

Hi Trevisan2, the town could be Calvello, Potenza province,IT
the italian surname spelling ..: Carbone (< Carrione), or Cedro(< Cardio); it is the only probable surname; father Giuseppe and mother: Celestina...(?)...
just my suggestion,
