Need help bad on this document.
Image is very poor. I believe this is a death record for Maria Lucia Quieti. I believe it mentions Gennaro Buccella's birth place but I can't make it out at all. Please help...

Re: Need help bad on this document.
Or maybe "Secinaro?" Also in Abruzzo Region
There is so much ink that has disappeared... Do you think the first letter might be an "L"?

Re: Need help bad on this document.
I really have no clue what it says but thank you guys very much. I will have to work harder on this one when I go back to the library,to hopefully get a much clearer picture. 288 up top, is that the page number on the roll of film?
@ Adelfio Do you think the name for Maria's mother was Napoleone or Napolesitti? That's how the name was indexed but I think it was wrong because I don't see that name Napolesitti on the map:/ I do kind of see the name Napoleone on the record, so I think you might be right on that one.

Re: Need help bad on this document.
Her father's surname (WILD GUESS) could be "Biagi"

This is how the record was indexed.
For her father it say's BIASE?? I never heard of the name, but I do see other people with that name on Family Search. I don't think it's Quista for her maiden name because I have other documents that clearly say Quieti.

Domenicantonio's Marriage record. Look for the name Quieti. Was Maria's middle name Lucia or Luisa? Thanks for the help

I would agree that the name looks more like BIASE, which does exist today in Abruzzo Region.rancelli wrote:This is how the record was indexed.

Maria's middle name I think is LUCIA... look at the formation of the "u" and first "c" in Buccella above it...

Re: Need help bad on this document.
I think you're right about the Luisa name, because Domenicantonio who was the son of Gennaro Buccella and Maria Quieti, named his daughter Luisa in 1864. Domenicantonio could have named his daughter Luisa in honor of his mother.PippoM wrote:I read:

Now I'm kind of confused...I have Domenicantonio and wife Egidia's marriage record, and it says Domenic was born in Loreto, but lived in Alanno since childhood. I don't know what to think because there is a Loreto in Ancona and a Loreto Aprutino in Abruzzo

Re: Need help bad on this document.
Well, I'd say it must have been Loreto Aprutino...at that time it was not so usual to move so far.
As to the name of mrs. Quieti, imagine that Domenicantonio's act was written about 25 years after her death, in a place where probably noone had known her, on the basis of the document we are hardly trying to read and of what someone said. So, we might guess Maria Lucia can be a mistake, and her real name was Luisa.
As to the place of birth, my best guess is Scontrone, province of L'Aquila, region Abruzzo...but it's really hard to say. It also happened to me to find missspelled places of birth in death acts of people who died elsewhere, probably because people didn't even know such places existed and had never heard of them!
