Researching Novaco family--Atripalda, Campania
Hello,
I am an Italian-American researching family history. My great grandfather, Sabino Novaco was born in Atripalda in 1878. He married Louisa Cozza, date unknown. Any information about the Novaco family in Atripalda would be most welcome, such as when did migration to the US occur? Where was Louisa Cozza from, and her birth date? I also have info going back two generations before Sabino, but this would be a great start. Grazie!

I too come from a Sabino Novaco who was born in Atripalda, Italy. He is the cousin of Sabino you are referring to. My great grandfater was born in 1883
Our heritage is this: Sabino Novaco and Angela Motta married ? Had Anna Maria Novaco, Elisabetta Maria Novaco, Raffaele Novaco, Antonio Novaco and Vincenzo Novaco.
Vincenzo Novaco (born 1849), married Concetta Postiglione (his third wife in 1868. they had Angela Novaco, Sabino Novaco (born May 30, 1878), and Verginia Novaco. This is your heritage
Antonio Novaco married Rosa DiMasi and had Teresa Novaco, Vincenza Novaco, Guiseppa Novaco, Sabino Novaco (born Oct 7, 1883) and Rafaella Novaco, and Antonio Novaco. This is my heritage.
We are cousins removed ???? times.

Re: Researching Novaco family--Atripalda, Campania
Hello cousins!
I am also a descendant of the Novaco family from Atripalda! I know this thread is several years old by now, but I would love to connect!
My 4th great grandfather was Sabino Novaco, born in 1824 in Atripalda. I know that another Sabino Novaco, who was, I believe, the cousin of my great-great grandmother (Olivetta Lanfranchi Preziosi, granddaughter of the older Sabino Novaco through his daughter Rafaella) lived either with her or down the road from her in Orange, New Jersey. Olivetta's father (and Rafaella's husband) was Marino Guiseppe Lanfranchi, born in Atripalda as well. Just a note -- Marino Guiseppe was an orphan/"foundling"! So, that is the end of the "Lanfranchi" line as far as actual ancestry goes, as this was his adopted surname.
