Middle Name, or attached to first?

Post by jamiecapaldi »

Does anyone know the reason why my ancestor was showing Francescantonio on the Index of a marriage record, but showing Francesco Antonio on the actual Record?

If he was given the full version by his family it might have morphosed to a connected name. If he was just known as Franco (Francesco) it would have stayed separate.

I think it is a mistake of the person that wrote the index.

Thank you all for your input. He was named Francesco on his Childrens Birth Certificate, so they must be separate - Francesco Antonio.

Cheers!
