Finally located the death certificate for Antonio Pisano (b.1850, San Martino VC - d. 1927, Staten Island, NY). It gives his parents names as 'John' Pisano and 'Josephine' Varrchio. Varrchio appears almost no where in any record; any thoughts about what this last name might actually be?

The nearest i can find is 'Varrecchia'

Which is very close to my ancestors spelling in Cassino - Verrecchia!
