In the year of 1828, day 8 of the month of November, at hour 20 (8 PM) before Sebastiano Di Copeo, Mayor, official of the town of Rotondi, District of Avellino, Province of Principato Ultra, appeared Pasquale Clemente, age 40, profession of tailor, subject of the kingdom, living in Rotondi, AND Nicola Lanni, age 60, profession of laborer, subject of the kingdom, living (come sopro) same as above,
WHO declared on (sudetto ?) above mentioned day ?, of November 1828 at hour 17 (5 PM) died
Anastasia Mercaldo, widow of Alessandro Crispino, who was age 75, born in Paolisi, profession of laborer, living in Rotondi, daughter of the deceased Angelo.

For execution of the law we passed together with the witnesses to the deceased, and acknowledge his ?? then we formed this document, we have inscribed on the two registers, read and interpreted to the registrant and is the day, month and year as stated above.

(cant't read the last sentence-but looks like it says the witnesses were illiterate ?)

To obey the law we visited together with the witnesses the deceased person, and we witnessed that she was in all effects dead, we therefore have formed the present act, which has been written in both records and, having read the same to the witnesses, yes, on the same day, month, and year as written above by us, and signed by the official (Cancellierre) without the witnesses as they are illiterate.
