Hello! After many name spelling changes I have finally narrowed down my search. If anyone has information or access to records for the rolling, it would be greatly appreciated...
My great grandfather - Rocco Ianniello married to Rose (Smith?)
My great great grandfather - Pasquale Ianniello married to Angelica (?)
from Castelforte/Castelfranco (are these the same place?
I can't seem to find anything.
Thank you so much!
Lisa
Searching for Ianniello from Castelfranco / Castelforte
Re: Searching for Ianniello from Castelfranco / Castelforte
There are several Castelfranco and Castelforte in Italy, and I don't think there's a town with both names.
Do you have the documents in which you found such place names?
Who is the first of your ancestors who went to America? Have you found his Ellis Island manifest?
These can be useful info to help you.

Re: Searching for Ianniello from Castelfranco / Castelforte
Here is the information that I have:
Yaniello, Rocco M. Dec. 28, 1895 ( obit says 1894 ) Castelfort, Italy - Jan. 12, 1977 Towanda, Pa. Son of Pasquale and Angelica Yaniello. Rose Josephine Smith 1899 - 1971
I have been searching ancestry.com forever and can not find Angelica or Pasquale. I have tried Iannello, Ianniello, (which have been documented as possible spelling changes in my family) and all other variations.
Any ideas? Thanks bunches!
