Ancestry site

Does anyone know if Ancestry.it has the same records as the U.S. site? I am looking for Nicolina Cicio from Campofiorito who came between 1900 and 1905.
I have been searching for years and can't find her.

yes Ancestry.it have the same records of Ancestry.com ( US site); I cannot find Nicolina, but I found 2 Maria CICIO both emigrated in 1906, and both born around 1890;
the first (arrived on 4 Aug 1906) and not final destination readable;
the second (7 Oct 1906) travelling with cousin Giuseppa Dichiara ( or Di Chiara) and joining at brother Antonino Spitalere ( different surname....)

when your Nicolina was born? it is possible that her full name was Maria Nicolina Cicio?

My Nicolina Cicio was born October 1873.
The 2nd Maria you mention is a sister. Antonino Spitalere was married to Nicolina's sister and is a brother-in-law. I must have missed noticing Guiseppa DiChiara on the manifest and will have to do some research on that name and will also have to check the 1st Maria you mention.

I will also try the Maria Nicolina approach. It is also possible she sailed to New Orleans. Eventually I will find her.

It is "8bris"=October... Nicolina was born the day before (26 Oct 1873)

This is my Nicolina Cicio. I have a copy of this. You wrote 8 bris = October and born day before - October 26, 1873. (I don't know any Latin) What words in the record say born the day before? I had interpreted it that she was born Oct. 27( it looked like 27 on the record)
It also mentions Stefano Radosti at the bottom. I assumed he was the Godfather and presented the baby to the Church? At that time period did they actually take the baby to church?

Starting on the 7th row you can read:
"...baptizavi infan
tem heri natam ex juga
libus ..."

"...I baptized a baby child born yesterday to the spouses..."

Yes, Stefano Radosti was the godfather, the godmother was Paola, his sister:
"...Padrini fuerunt
Stafanus Radosti et Pao
la sorior ejus..."

This is a true lesson on the need to learn how to interpret the Church records correctly.
