Thank you for the info on death cert. too bad it doesn't show parents info etc. Its my understanding that birth cert. in Italy are hard to get and require a lot more research. If you have access to that , it would be much appreciated, thanks darin

You can ask for a copy of an "informational Copy" of the death act, it may contains the parent's names..

I have concluded that Dominico De Luca from Preturo, L'Aquila, Italy is my grandfather, I am 98% certain. From the Ellis Island search I spent a lot of time doing, narrowed it down to this Dominico, That was the year he came to U.S. according to 1910 census, it even stated his mole on right cheek, correct Height as well.
I am still trying to get his parents names. From what I understand, if this town Preturo is his town at birth, I need to write to the local Commune? or Church?
I know that my GGF was Born April 4th, 1885 from his SS records and other documents.
I am not sure if Ancestry.com would have these records or not?

If someone knows where to write to or what my best direction to follow next would be, please feel free to let me know. Very much appreciated, thank you

There are a lot of records on line for Preturo at familysearch.org here:
https://www.familysearch.org/search/ima ... %3D1937372
but only older than 1865; so, if you don't know Domenico's parents' names, you can't go for a further search.
Preturo is a hamlet of the Commune of L'Aquila.
You may want to write to:
Ufficio Stato Civile
Via Rocco Carabba, 6
67100 L'Aquila

Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

if the arrival manifest is this one:

then his father's first name was Gaetano. He was going to Philadelphia to join his cousin Giulio Nardantonio, it's strange the he didn't gave his brother's Antonio name as reference in the U.S.
