Help with 1892 Marriage Certificate (in latin)

Post by mpizzo »

Hi--

Can someone tell me what is written in the space where the names of the groom should have been written?

Certificate number 22, lower right corner, indicates that on September 5, 1892, Gaetano Mule' married Caterina Virgadamo (daughter of Francesco Virgadamo and Francesca Circavolo). However, instead of writing the names of Gaetano, the priest wrote something else.

Thanks.

Ciao --

Grazie.

At the end of the 4th line and beginning of the 5th line is the name of the groom, after which is written "parents unknown"

To add to my post above...

The groom's name is written as "Cayetanum Mulè" (Gaetano Mulè)
After that ... "parentibus ignotisium"

In realtà c'è scritto "parentibus ignotis inn(uptus)" dove innuptus sta per celibe.

Grazie mille.
