Italian WWI Military Records

Post by elenuccia »

I should be very grateful if someone knows where I can write, or e.mail, for my father´s Italian military record. He was born in Casteñpetroso (now the province of Isernia, then Campobasso) in 1893. The family moved to Lucera, and he first immigrated to the US in 1911. (at 18yrs of age). He returned to Italy to do his military service and was discharged after WWI.
Thanks loads.

If your ancestor with family was resident in Lucera-Foggia when he emigrated, well:

You can write in Archivio di Stato di Foggia and ask an photocopy of Ruolo Matricolare of your ancestor, born the ...(birthdate or birthyear) Castelpetroso but resident in Lucera, son of...(first name father)..
if they find, they reply you and ask the payment before and also indicate the modalities of payment (little payment), and after they send you the photocopy... here are all events of your ancestor in militar service and in war...
ARCHIVIO DI STATO
DI
FOGGIA
Piazza XX Settembre, 3
71100 Foggia (FG)
