I'm applying thru my maternal grandmother with the Houston Consulate.
I've ordered all my documents and have received a few.
I have two questions so far:
1) My grandmother, whom is in the Italian line, was born in 1917 (ggf naturalized 1922), but
the birth cert is filed, in Chicago, in 1930 (after the naturalization). It has the correct 1917 dob. So she was born before but her bc was filed after the naturalization. Would this be a problem?
2) She (my gm) also lied about her age frequently. On the marriage license I just received, it stated her age as 23, when she was in fact 31. It's on the 2nd page and is either the back of the main document, or another slip of paper all together. Would this be a problem?
Thanks for all the help with everything. This is a lengthy, technical process and I've been able to learn how to go about it from reading the posts. A wonderful service. I didn't however, find any forum discussing my specific delayed filing issue.
Grazie e Ciao a tutti
