deciphering father's occupation

deciphering father's occupation

birth record #304 for Oto Zecchino

i am having difficulty deciphering the second word of the father's occupation - i read it as guardia ???? (dafiorio???)

i can't find anything close to it on the genweb occupations webpage.

any thoughts?
