According to a Family Tree at Ancestry.com owned by "gcuster854" - Joseph Molinaro was born in 1901 in Essex, NJ.

He was the son of Pasquale "Charles" Molinaro, born 1877 in Laviano, Salerno, Campania; and he immigrated around 1888. He married Maria Esposito in Essex, NJ in 1897.
