In Italian usually...
John = Giovanni
Jennie = Giovanna

I am not aware of records available online for San Benedetto del Tronto, BUT you may want to write directly to the comune to request the birth record of Domenico Sebastiani, and his marriage record or marriage publication record.

Address:
Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Viale Alcide De Gasperi n. 124
63074 San Benedetto del Tronto (AP)
ITALY

It looks like Cesira may have died after 1946, as this possible naturalization index card was filed 8/12/46. You might want to request this record using the numbers provided...

Thank you for the Ellis Island record and the address. That's indeed Cesira's naturalization card, since that was her address on the 1940 census.

Help! I sent a letter to the Stato Civile in San Benedetto del Tronto AP for Domenico's and Cesira's records. They emailed me to say that no such records exist. Any advice on what to do next?

PS: They also said the money I included (20 euros) was unnecessary either way.

Update- The Stato Civile responded to my inquiry in 1 business day to search for Domenico and Cesira's extracts in the surrounding municipalities! I'm impressed as I expected a much longer wait time, or no answer at all.

I cross-referenced where the Italian immigrants of Chicago Heights came from with comunes near Ascoli Piceno, and found Monteprandone. Hopefully this municipality will have the extracts.

Update- The records have been found! Stefano, who works in the civil office in San Benedetto, asked a registrar in another area, who in turn asked a few others to search for these names. Stupefacante! I am beyond impressed. I will post the name of the specific comune when I recieve the extracts, for anyone who's interested.
