Is this info correct:
Marco Buono died 30 Sep 1778 at age 70 in Rende.
Are his parents' names listed?
Any other interesting or important facts?
Thanks,
Greg

Re: Translation Please Death Record
After the name Marco de Buono, there is vir (which is for husband) followed by the first and last name of his wife (but I can't decipher the wife's name, sorry)oemorg wrote:Is this info correct:

Hello,
looks like Haelenae (Elena) Vitara to me,
even though I would write Helenae.

Erudita and Pippo,
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
I am going to pencil in Elena Vitere as the wife. Haelene, I'm guessing, is Latin for Elena. I could not find Vitara as an Italian last name, only a Suzuki SUV. Also Vitora, Vitaro and Vitaio are not names as far as I can tell, but they also make good car names. Vitere is the only one that is definitely a name. I didn't think the first letter was a "V", but now I know about "vir" so it has to be a "V".
Grazie,
Greg

Re: Translation Please Death Record
Greg,
actually, Vitara is not in Italian White pages.
But surnames appear and disappear, they are not eternal, so "Vitara" may have estinguished.
However, I see there are several Vitara's on Facebook; if they are Italian and that's their real surname, it might still exist.
And yes, Haelena is (bad) Latin for Elena; I usually find it as Helena.

Re: Translation Please Death Record
Pippo,
It does appear to be Vitara. So I will call her Elena Vitara/Vitere until I find another processetti page with her husband's death record.
Thanks again,
Greg
