I found an old occupation which is spelled galessiere, listed for some towns, which may be what is in this record, but I am having a problem determining exactly what work this person did.

I found that an alternative spelling is calessiere, which is derived from the word calesse. The word calesse refers to a two-wheeled buggy. I also found a reference on google books which states that the galessiere had 16 horses to transport wine. So I think he drove some kind of buggy or cart which he used to transport things. I can't seem to get more specific than this at the moment.
