This is not a marriage act, but rather the request for the Publication of the Banns of Marriage. :-)

#43
Dated 15 may 1886 at 10:30 AM at the town office in Corleone
Appeared before the official...
Placido Vutera, single, age 30, peasant farmer residing in Corleone, born in Corleone, son of deceased Matteo (was a peasant farmer and resided in Corleone), and of living Lucia Catalinotto, peasant farmer residing in Corleone
AND
Angela Gennaro, single, age 22, housewife, daughter of Lorenzo, 57, middleclass, and of deceased Leoluchina Panepinto, his wife, housewife who resided in Corleone.

Left columns indicate that the banns were published on the 16, 23, and 27th of May.

The law required that when a couple wanted to be married there be an "announcement" of the upcoming marriage so that anyone who knew of an impediment to the marriage could come forward. The objection might be that one of them was already married, or that they were too closely related (like first cousins), etc.
The Banns (the proclamation) was usually posted on the door of the town office on consecutive Sundays and a Thursday. The marriage then took place a short time after if there were no impediments...
In the case of Placido... the marriage took place soon after on 14 June.

Here is the Act of Marriage :-) (#86 - right side)
