Filippo Aprile death record age

I found the death record for my great-great grandfather, Filippo Aprile. So far, this is the information I was able to translate:

Date of the Death: January 1, 1877

Son of the late Giovani and late Carmela Piti

Widower of Giuseppa Mondello

Age at death: 50 (?)

Address: Contrade M?????

I am questioning his age of 50 at death. It says he was born in Patti, so if he died at age 50 he would have been born in 1827. I looked in the birth record for Patti for years 1826 through 1828 and cannot find a record of birth for him. Also, if anyone can translate the street address, I would be grateful!

The record does indicate an age of 50 at death. However, these ages are "fluid" and so my suggestion would be to expand your search of the birth record for at least 5 years on either side of 1827
