DePrisco Family Name

Post by strickland10_13 »

Hello I'm new to this site and very much interested in my family history any information will help. My great grandparents are Angelo DePrisco and Margaret Morano. Angelo is from Avellino or somewhere around there, I'm not to sure about Margaret but if anybody has any information about those names it would help a lot. Thanks!
Also the names Morto and Uzzo were used as well if that may help any.

Hello,
I hope Suanj forgives me, but I'm from that area, and I'd say the most common spelling for the surname is "De Prisco", even though "Di Prisco" can sometimes be found. So, if you don't have any other evidence, that's the most probable spelling.
