Well, I did have a real great time but as far as furthering my research I was not able to do much while I was over there besides visit the actual towns where I knew my relatives were from. I am very interested in speaking further, the giuffrida family had been one of the hardest for me to trace. Feel free to email me at lou.angelo.genealogy@gmail.com and thanks for the response. I just noticed that you are from drexel hill, for some reason I thought you were from france but I live in south philly so I am not far at all. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Lou Angelo

I am researching the Saladino family from Troina. Do you know if the civil records are available online anywhere?

My great grandfather was Frank Merenda & my great grandmother was Teresa or Tressa Papaledo or Pappalardo,is been spelled both ways. She married them became Merenda. A found a 1930 Michigan census of them prior to my grandfather's birth my grandfathers name was Henry Merenda. This is all so fun & intersting to me. My daughter recently had a family history project & I found out from my father in law that my husband's great grandmother was from a town outside Palermo where my family is from. Her last name prior to marriage was Restivo.
