Juris Sanguinis and Adoption

I was adopted at birth. My (adoptive) father qualifies for citizenship under Juris Sanguinis. I was wondering if that is transferable to me.
I have done some remedial research on the web, and came across some references to my situation. This is one of them:

These are the conditions necessary for a person to gain Italian citizenship
1. born of national father or mother
2. by acknowledgement of national father or mother
3. by juris communicatio, descendants of a naturalised parent (jus sanguinis)
4. by adoption, if minor

SPECIFICALLY: by adoption, provided for in all the countries, where a minor child is automatically granted the citizenship of the national parent when adopted;

Does this mean I would be entitled? Or would I need to have my original birth certificate and go through my Birth mother (who thank GOD was born in 1948--she just made it).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The reason why i suggested an attorney is that depending on who get to handle your application there are all sortsof rules,regulations, policies and procedures which can be interpreted and misinterpreted to suit whatever!!!Peter

Oh I'm sure there are, and probably pretty complicated. I'm not in a position financially at this point to hire an attorney. I was just going to get the records, submit them and see what happens. I realize this could be to my detriment as IF you are rejected, there is a lengthy time period before you can reapply.
