Andreoni from Vorno, Capannori

Hello,

I am just beginning research into my Italian lines - Andreoni from Vorno, Capannori.

Luigi Andreoni (from Vorno, Capannori) married to Erina Pelosi (from Badia di Cantignano) who had three sons: Astolfo, Marino and Renzo (1923-1944) and two daughters Siria and Elodina (1910-1996).

Particularly keen to know how to begin and where to look for tracing casualties of war. Renzo is claimed to have died on 1 June 1944 although I don't have any way to verify this claim.

Any help gratefully accepted.

Adelfio and Tessa78 thanks for the quick reply, I'm very impressed with your info at the response even with the limited info to work with, clearly I have a work to do if I'm to begin to understand the processes involved in Italian research, almost all of my research to date has been on my Scottish lines.


I know Erina died 19-10-1958, possibly Ponte a Moriano but not confirmed.
