Prudnella or prunella first name??? vitale last
Does anyone know any other variation for this name?

I'd say a correct (or likely) spelling might be "Brunella".
Can you give some more detail?

I agree. Brunella would be correct. By the way it means "Little Bruna".

There's actually a children's book by Margaret Atwood entitled La Principessa Prunella.
Prunella is actually the name of a flowering plant used in healing in Asian medicine, but it is found in Europe and North America as well.
I personally have never seen it as a first name in an Italian record, although I see online that someone wrote that it was the first name given to her at baptism. That person wasn't in Italy though.

Hi Everyone
Thanks for all of the answers. Could be a mistake. The info was given to me by a genealogist.
the person is supposedly related to my grand father and his sister.
There was supposedly another older brother Pasquale Vitale and sister Prudnella Vitale.
I believe they both made it to America and Pasquale lived in Ohio. But, I can not find Prudnella other than in Italy born in Reggio Cambria I don't have the details right with me.
this genealogy page tells more of my grand father and his sister...

Carmine Thanks for the offer of private message. I have loads of research resourses. I am related to a Giuseppi Vitale, but I don't have all of the details on the record. I did the ellis island on near places of birt in Italy. Anyway, thanks again... As far as census there are so many and I have my grand father from when he came over through 1940. I have all of his sister census info too since she came over and the ellis boat she came on..
