Trying to find out about the Sparacio family, specifically Calogero who was born somewhere between 1864-1866. He came to the states (New York) on Apr 1891. He was on the Anglia ship and was possibly with a brother Francesco Sparacio. They left the Gibraltar, Naples & Paler port.

I know at done point in time he relocated to Louisiana and had a family down there. He also at some point in time changed his name to Carlo Spragio.

I've been working on my family tree and I've come to a road block and hoping maybe someone could help. My 2nd great grandfather, Calogero Sparacio, came to the states from Italy in 1891 and he was born around 1864-1865. I also know that he came into New York and then at some point in time moved to Louisiana. This is where my great grandfather, Salvatore Sparacio was born in 1905. I also know that some time after my great grandfather was born both of their names were changed. My 2nd great was Carlos Spragis and my great to Samuel Spragis. I'm not sure why the family changed their names to Spragis so I'm trying to figure that out.

I'm also basically looking for any siblings or parents for my 2nd great grandfather.
