looking for information of when my great grandfather Guelfo Americo Poltronieri migrated from Italy to Brazil,I know he was born in Trieste January 2 1878? not sure on the year. His father was Gaetano Poltronieri and his mother Iliara maiden name Feliscerte

what is his town of origin in Italy and did he immigrate before going to the army in Italy so I can estimate his age at time of immigration to Brazil. Any record or postcard from him in the family cigar box? Peter

I only came up with 18 POLTRONIERI immigrating to Brazil but none have any GUELFO AMERICO...Is there another name he was called by in the family?? I will keep researching but Brazil records are similar to sensous neurotics!! Get back to me if there is any information in the family oral history about his journey to Brazil and if there were other family already there and where??

By the way there are currently 607 POLTRONIERI in Brazil? Peter

Gaetano Americo Poltronieri is Guelfo Americo Poltronieri son and he has 2 brothers Djalma Americo and Guelfo Raphael and sister Maria Laura all of this was told to me by my father Clovis and Djalma is my grandfather who was born June 28, 1908 in Belem Para Brazil and died September 20, 1971 in Santos Sao Paulo Brazil
