Looks like a high school record to me. I believe the left side is a list of subjects. It is very blurry when I try to enlarge it.

The image is very blurry and difficult to read...
As Erudita said, it is a school record, namely it is a Gymnasium graduation. The student is Luigi Brunello, born Jan 1 1882, son of Epifanio.

It is blurry on the ebay sight I found it on. I was interested as it reads: Palmieri along the top--which is our family name so I was curious what it was for.

Here is the direct link. maybe it will be better.

But, thank you for what you have done so far. Maybe I can get them to send a better scan. Even the auction was all in Italian, I think. :-)

It reads R(egio) Liceo Ginnasiale Palmieri = Royal Gymnasium Palmieri. I have no clue about who this Palmieri is.
