1841, 1844, & Index-Mothers Last Name

Post by Haztek »

I have links to the 2nd page of two birth records, and an Index.
On the birth records, near the top of the page.
On the Index, top of the page.

I am looking for verification of the mother's last name. Looks like Pagliano to me??
(Her first name is Placida)

Thanks, jerry

Thanks Tessa! This one had had me frustrated for awhile. I have other birth records with her name, but the writing was much worse and the microfilms were a little out of focus and the ink blotted.

The index helped :-)
You can see that the first letter of her surname resembled the "G" in Giovanni on the next line more than the "P" in her given name...
