track application

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Post by garypeg »

It will be 2 years since my wife applied for Italian citizenship (I am already recognized). Is there a way to track her application?

thanks

Hi Gary,
My wife and I have been patiently waiting 2 years this month for her letter of approval.
I have been following the progress on this website. You will have to enter the info given to you by the Consulate. You can translate and follow the instructions.
Hope this helps,
Drew

Thanks. We can not find any number that the Consulate apparently should have given us, unless it is the same number as used for my application- was yours the same?

My number was a K10/C-XXXXXXX.
that # plus the day your application was submitted. It should be the day of your appointment.

We do not have that number, I do not think. I will email them and see if we can get it. Would that be the day of my appt or my wife's?

It would be the day of your wife's appointment. Email the consulate and ask for the K10/C number and the date they sent in the Application. It should be the same day as the appointment. They should also give you the instructions for using the site. For example, You will select "Estero" in the drop down selection where is says "Prefettura di presentazione" when you make the first access to the file.

You will register on that site then put in the info to see your progress.
