You should research this yourself. Through dedicated research on various forums, governmental websites, Ancestry.com (free trial), Archives, etc... I was able to find everything I needed to begin doing some serious research and paper tracking. It is difficult work and someone won't do it for you without compensation.

I can point you in the right direction if you would like.

Thanks, Mike! I seem to be hitting a wall, especially finding the info I need for any NJ data. Thought I had Liberato's record, but it was WWII registration. Also haven't gotten a response for Italy at all! Need the Birht/Baptismal cert., too! Point away, as I love to do the research...Thanks, Paola

the USCIS can trace naturalization records. Look to the USCIS website. I have recently submitted a request for my great grandfather's naturalization records.
Give the name and the possible entry into the US.

Since Garfield, NJ is in Bergen County. I recommend you contact their county clerk office.

http://www.bergencountyclerk.org/naturalization/#rec

Bergen County Clerk’s Office
One Bergen County Plaza
Hackensack, NJ 07601
Tel: (201) 336-7000
Fax: (201) 336-7002
Email: countyclerk@co.bergen.nj.us

To search the naturalization records in Bergen County, you must submit a written request to the County Clerk’s Office. The request should include as much of the following information as possible:

Name of person in question (include all possible names and spellings)
Date of birth of person
Approximate date of naturalization
Address at time of naturalization
The fee for a search of records is listed in our Fees section above ($10).

Thank you so much! Not much luck with other sites that require file and reel, etc. nos. for their microfiche, etc.
