Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
Hi I am searching for birth records for Rosa Carbone and Giuseppe Farace from Altavilla Milica Sicily.
I am also having a difficult time finding birth and or marriage records for Pietro Leone and Josephine Antonucci and Carlo Tatti and Lucia Cellone (sp?) from L'Aquila Abruzzo. Where is the best place to search for Abruzzo records? Some of the records I've tried to access appear restricted. Thank you in advance

Re: Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
Do you can provide mr details, please? For example, their approximate year of birth...
Re: Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
I would really be guessing on years of all names listed but based on their children's years of birth, perhaps late 1850s to 1870s?

Wow I could never have found this because I don't speak the language. Thank you!!
Is there a way to tell if this is really them.. Not sure how common those names were, but the years kind of make sense.

We have to verify the parents' names with other documents.andieh69 wrote:Wow I could never have found this because I don't speak the language. Thank you!!

I have been searching for a marriage for Rosa Carbone in Altavilla Milicia, since marriages usually took place in the hometown of the bride.
Unfortunately, I have not found anything yet.
Can you provide the names and years of birth for the children of Rosa Carbone and Giuseppe Farace? That may help.
Did any of the children immigrate?
EDIT TO ADD***

Re: Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
My grandmother was Sebastiana Farace and she was born in 1897....and this Rosa was married in 1900???? Am I reading this right...children born out of wedlock? I have heard from an elderly aunt that there was also a brother and then I have also been told there were 11 children total but I really have no idea.
Re: Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
These two girls were born before the civil marriage took place.
HOWEVER, it is very posssible (and somewhat common at the time) that the couple was married in a church ceremony prior to the birth of the children.
Here is the birth act of Ignazia in 1899
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613
Here is the birth act of Sebastiana in 1897 --- with a notation of her marriage on 25 May 1919 to Salvatore Baiardo(sp?)
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1 ... cc=1947613
There may be a brother, and I will look for his birth AFTER 1900
As well as other children. Records online only go to 1910...
I have been searching for Giuseppe's birth act in 1863-1865 - no luck yet

Re: Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
Hmm, maybe he was born before that...in that case where else can I look as the records begin in 1862, or maybe not in Altavilla? Also I believe that Giuseppe's mother Sebastiana's maiden name may be Bausano... the other side of the family also had Bausano's...I'm starting to think everyone in Altavilla was related. LOL.... I have been told there was a brother and he or his sons were police officers but no one knows his name.
Re: Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
Just posted the birth acts of the girls - including your GM
Bausano was my thought as well...
On the marriage of Giuseppe and Rosa it indicates that he was born in Altavilla
Earlier records (beginning in 1821) are available on microfilm from the LDS.

Re: Carbone and Farace & Leone /Tatti
Wow I guess we will know for sure if this is the same Carlo if he married Lucia cellone and had daughtes named nunziata and Elisabetta. Also if this Pietro leone married Josephine and gave birth to palmerino we know it's right for sure. You are amazingly kind to help in this way.. Thank you is not enough
