Brun, Brunn of Andreis

Post by bookratt »

Looking for any info on the Brun family of Andreis. I have written in Italian twice to the commune offices but have yet to receive replies (and it's been 6 months so I doubt I'll ever hear anything).

I think I should be writing formally now to the parish priest for church records (which I have already done online as their church school was listed; I came across that info, found the rectory offices and wrote to him there). Again, no response and it's been three months since that "contact".

I know Andreis is smaller now, than when my branch of the Brun family left and came to the US in 1882 or so, but still--isn't there ANY way to get info from this place?

I want records showing father and mother of my ancestor, and also marriage info or he and his wife, from Udine.

Giovanni Brun, son of Antonio Brun 9of Andreis) and Cristina Maria Trinco (of Trieste) born aprox. 1866 in Andreis. He ame to the US in 1882 according to his US naturalization certificate, recorded in PA. He was my great great Grandfather. Brothers were Giuseppe, Natale, Lutgardo, Giacomo and Angelo also born there. Sisters' names unknown. He married Domenica Bucco of Udine, who 1st came to the Us in 1903, approx. They used Brunn as the last name in the US.

Anyone have any info or a way for me to get this info? I want to confirm all this family history info/word of mouth info via documents and perhaps also find out about his parents, and his wife and siblings.

Hi!
Andreis is a parrish of Pordenone-Concordia Diocese:
Since the 1976 earthquake all the parrish ancient archives are in "Archivio Diocesano" so I think it's better to write to:

Curia Vescovile di Concordia-Pordenone
Via Revedole, 1
33170 PORDENONE

Tel. 0434.221111
Fax 0434.27213
E-mail: diocesi@diocesi.concordia-pordenone.it

Hope this helps.
ciao
