Looking for Rachelli family from Fiume

Post by podpeople0127 »

Hello:

My great great grandparents were Antoneta and Carol Rachelli from Fiume.
They had 6 children and my great grandpa(Anton or Anthony) was the youngest. The family went to work at the Suez Canal and Anton was born in Egypt. He was 4 years old when they went back to Fiume so i'm assuming he is born around 1864 or 1865. Antoneta was 13 years old when she married my great great grandpa.
Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mariana

Using link that Livio :-) posted above...
Found this couple in the Rijeka Church Books marriage index...
The year is much later than you suggested, but thought you might give it a look.
I did not find a Carol Rachelli in years 1815-1845, or 1848 through 1871.

Year 1872
Carolus Rachelli and Antonia Brozin (first names would have been "Latinized" for the church records)

Second listing on top left

Thank you Liviomoreno and Tessa78. This is so exciting. I didn't know these records were online. I've been looking through them. I found 3 births but not my family. Tessa78 ,yes the dates are a bit too late for Carol's marriage but still very exciting to see the name Rachelli.I read that the Rachelli surname is rare so maybe they are family.
