possibly a form of the word stoiaio -a craftsman skilled in the art of weaving mats

The word in the document looks like it is spelled stojaro (which is why I think it's the occupation I found). A j is often the letter i, and often occupations which end in io also end in ro. Anyway, that was my reasoning in arriving at the occupation stoiaio. Hopefully the word will be clearer in some other record.

Donna- go to googlebooks and type in a search for Vocabolario della lingua italiana by Pietro Fanfani. Go to page 1505 and see the word stojare. I believe you have a form of this word in the document which is why I gave you the occupation which I did.
