The mystery surrounding an old photograph

Post by nrepole »

Hi all
I am trying to translate the following book summary:
The mystery surrounding an old photograph, taken in the era of mass migration, slowly unravels to reveal one family's struggles and triumphs as they moved between two very different worlds.
My attempt is:

Is this correct?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

"si muoveva" and no "si muovevano" because the family is one, so singular no plural..
