You will need to write to the State Archives in the Province.

Here is some information from an earlier thread on the topic.

I recommend asking for:
1 - Lista di leva
2 - ruolo matricolare
3 - any other military documents that may exist.

Thank you, Tessa. Sent out an email to the archives yesterday. Got a response back today saying in order to get photocopies of the documents that I'd need to pay, but at least they seemed to find a match between a document they have and the information I sent to them.

Hi There,

Don't know if you will reply but hopefully you will, I am looking for the same thing roughly. My grandparents got married in Ceppaloni in 1923 and am struggling to find paperwork. Wondering how if online archives for this year/ an email that actually works to contact them/ how you got in contact with the municipality. Hope everything worked out for you!

Regards,
Jesse
