I found this in the birth index for a possible relative but don't know what the notation N.P. means? Can't find the actual birth record in 1822 though. the relative is Costantino (?) Stella

what does this birth index notation mean?
Re: what does this birth index notation mean?
In the column for name of parents it states "N. P. et Me" - unknown father and mother.
I looked for the birth act, but the early months (record #1 - 150) appear to be missing.
His date of birth is 26 February 1822

thanks Tessa! had the same trouble finding the birth act...weird that half of them are missing. wonder if I can find him some other way?

According to the microfilmed records list at the Family Search site, the 1822 records are split between two films.
They may have only digitized the second half, or the first half is included in another year. BUT - you can still rent and view the first film at your nearest LDS Family History Center.
Here is the link to the list of films.
You will see Nati 1809-1922; and then another for 1822 - 1829
