1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Siamo cittadini Italiani !!! All 11 of us were granted citizenship! Luigi has been wonderful to work with, if anyone is wondering if they should use his services, please know he is reliable, informative, and very trustworthy! He just completed the trial process for 11 people in my extended family. If any one has any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Ledman, I think it means that you won't get the date for the trial until then. That's how it was for us as well.
Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Is it necessary to correspond with Luigi and his office in Italian? Or can I e-mail him in English?
Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
English is fine.
Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
One other point that is interesting, our decision was Nov 11 and we are told the appeals period ends Dec 18. I've seen others say six months or more. I am not sure why ours is so much shorter, but I appreciate it.

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Apparently, the appeals period is only 30 days from the publishing of the court decision if express notification is given to the MInistry of the Interior; if this notification is not expressly given, the appeals period is 6 months (according to the Code of Civil Procedure).
Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Hi everyone,
I live in Jordan and my wife's GGM is Italian who was born in 1893 in Egypt from two Italian parents who migrated to Egypt in the late 1800s.
It has been 5 years since I started searching for the needed documents and I reached to so many dead ends but this year there was a dramatic change after I was fortunate to know Ms. Raffaella Matera (suanj_it@yahoo.it) who managed to conduct a thorough search in Italy and get the original Italian birth certificates for my wife's GGM and GGGF in less than 2 days. Ms. Matera is an expert in this field, reliable, very fast and charges very reasonable fees, so I advise anyone who needs any help in searching for and getting any document from Italy to contact her.
With these findings I finally contacted Mr. Paiano (after contacting 4 other lawyers who complicated the matter by requesting so many unnecessary documents and details) he informed us that the case has a good chance and only requested the original birth and marriage certificates.
We had to start gathering certificates from Italy, Egypt and Jordan and we are nearly there and once all the documents are ready we will send them to Mr. Paiano with the first payment of fees.
Wish us luck and I will keep you posted of any developments

This is indeed interesting.
Would you be able to ask Avv. Paiano about this and let us know? I'm wondering if there is something unique to your case that shortened the time, or perhaps the appeal period has been changed. (Either way, auguri!)

Question for people who have/or are going through the court process with Avvocato Luigi Paiano:
When the court date is decided by the judge for your case, how long is the waiting time from that decision date to the court date usually?

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
I am going through a court case with Luigi that was filed on November 7, 2016. On December 21, 2016, the court set the first hearing for March 1, 2017.
Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Once we were submitted to the court, our schedule was as follows:Ledman wrote:Question for people who have/or are going through the court process with Avvocato Luigi Paiano:

You can follow your case using the Numero ruolo generale which Luigi provides using this site: http://pst.giustizia.it/PST/it/pst_2.wp on the Servizi tab, for me Regione was Lazio, Uffici giudiziari * was Tribunale Ordinaria Roma, and Registro was Constenzioso Civile, click Consulta, click Ruolo Generale and then put in your Numero ruolo generale and the year. I highly recommend you then bookmark your case, add it to the browser bar for quick easy access because if you're anything like the rest of us, you'll keep checking it!

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
Coincidentally my own application was also filed on 7 November 2016 and on 15 December 2016 the court set the first hearing for 28 February 2017. I suspect our applications will proceed more or less in tandem.lasabbia wrote:I am going through a court case with Luigi that was filed on November 7, 2016. Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
We are very frustrated with the process at the moment. Has anyone experienced similar wait times or experienced Luigi's lack of responsiveness? I will display our timeline below.
- July 2015: sent documents to Luigi
- July 2015: documents translated by Teresa Borlotti
- August 2015: case introduced to the courts
- March 2016: first hearing, Luigi says we received a judge who always wants a second hearing (Vittorio Contento). Second hearing scheduled for December 21, 2016, 9 months later.
- December 2016: judge is changed to Maria Speranza Ferrara.
- January 2017: "new" first hearing, this judge also wants a second hearing...scheduled for NEXT JANUARY (2018)!!
At this point we waited 9 months for a judge to have a second hearing only for them to change judges, reset the waiting clock, and extend it to an entire year.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Very frustrated at the moment. Luigi has not been responsive or good at clarifying the situation.

Re: 1948 Case with Luigi Paiano
abruzzese, we have a similar problem.
Our first hearing is today and we don't know anything about the outcome yet.
Our judge was GALTERIO DONATELLA (I read a couple of good reviews about her here) but in late December she was changed to SANGIOVANNI LUCIANA.
Luigi didn't tell us that they changed the judge. I've checked it on the giustizia.it just now and saw about this update.
We're praying it will all go fine, but your comment is a bit worrying as I've never read anything like that here before.

Hi Abruzzese,
See my response above.
I've just read Luigi's email today. Our case was also sent to the second hearing, in Oct 2017.
Errr.. We've been waiting for today's results for so long. Now everything is delayed for almost another 9 month... I read so many people got decision on their first hearing and was hoping that would be the same for us...
