Atti Di Nascita Translation Request

Post by kylebricker »

Thanks in Advance to anyone who can help!

2 of my great-grandparents are from the same Commune in Calabria. I've located their Civil Birth records online and have attempted to translate without success. The handwriting where most of the real information is I've found especially difficult to decipher. The notes in the margins are of interest as well.

Vincenzo Patella - Numero 35 on this page:

Maria Carmela Punturi - Numero 28 on this page:

Thanks again for any assistance you can provide!

Vincenzo Patella was born 8 November 1879, and presented by Maria Patella, his mother, age 33, a spinner, on 12 November. The father is unnamed.

Margin note is marriage of Vincenzo on 14 February 1903(last digit fuzzy), to Maria Carmela Punturi.

Maria Carmela was born on 21 July 1884 and presented on the 24th by her father, Giuseppe Punturi, 37, laborer. Mother was Vincenza Romano, s spinner, his wife.
Marriage notation to Vincenzo Patella on 14 February 1903 or 7

EDIT TO ADD

I checked marriages in Monasterace from 1901 through 1904 - they are not there. Probably 1907.
