Italian Military Uniform

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

Italian Military Uniform

Post by jjasay »

A cousin found the attached postcard in a collection of family photos. We are unsure if the photo belonged to our Anglo-Germanic grandmother or to our Sicilian grandfather. Can anyone verify whether or not this is an Italian Army uniform? I would guess that he picture is between 100 and 130 years old.

I agree with Livio, and just I can add that the frieze of military corps is on the cap, but so small and I cannot recognize it...
